Since 1996 we have been providing expertise in social impact assessment (SIA), policy and programme evaluations, and social research. We also specialise in designing and implemented community consultation exercises, particularly those involving stakeholders in participatory decision-making. Much of our work is concerned with the interface between people and the environment. We believe that resource management is largely about managing the tensions between people and their use of  natural and physical resources.

Dealing with the concerns of local communities is an essential part of successful, long-term resource and conservation management. To achieve this holistic
approach to environmental issues we tend to work in inter-disciplinary teams involving ecologists, landscape architects, economists and engineers. We have
a range of Associates who have been part of the Corydon family for a very long time. With some of our associates we have formed a consortium called “PLaCE Consultants” – People, Land, Community, Environment. That about sums us up.Corydon Consultants is based in Wellington but we work with local councils, NGOs, private companies and government agencies throughout New Zealand
and the Pacific.
